Borough Run Well

Matthew F. Callahan, who works in the Narberth post office, thinks the community spirit in the borough is infectious.

"I know people who've lived in apartments here who like the town so much that they bought homes. Many new people have moved here recently and they all seem to catch the community spirit of the town.

"But why shouldn't you like Narberth?" he continued, "the borough services and administration are excellent.

"There's no better Recreation facilities in the greater Philadelphia area. The sports program here is fine for children and adults alike."

Callahan, of 203 Wayne av., has always lived in Narberth. He has two children, one of whom attends St. Margaret's parochial school.

One of ten interviews from the June 24, 1951 Evening Bulletin article Narberth — Its People Call It 'Best Darn Town in the World'.
